About the Journal

The Journal of Islamic Humanities and Social Inquiry (JIHSI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal that publishes high-quality research in the fields of Islamic humanities and social sciences. It serves as an interdisciplinary platform for critical engagement with Islam as a religious, intellectual, social, and cultural phenomenon. The journal welcomes contributions that examine the diverse experiences of Muslims and Islamic thought across historical and contemporary contexts, with particular emphasis on the interactions between Islam, Muslim societies, and other religious or cultural traditions. JIHSI encourages scholarly approaches that integrate textual and literary analysis, conceptual and comparative frameworks, as well as empirical fieldwork and ethnographic methods.
